How to change a photo background in 3 steps
Add a photo
Drop it, paste it, or choose it from your phone or computer. A photo with a clear subject works best.
Pick a new background
Under Background choose white, light blue, light grey, black, a colour of your own, a blurred version of the photo, or your own image.
Download
Download a PNG or a JPG. The result keeps the size of your original photo unless you pick a ready-made format.
Private by design: your photo is never uploaded
With Alphelo, the AI model is downloaded to your browser once and runs on your own device. Your photo is never sent anywhere, so we cannot see, store or recover it. Alphelo sets no cookies and uses no analytics or ads. Details are in our privacy policy.
Free, with no account and no watermark
There are no credits to buy, no sign-up and no watermark on the result. Use it as often as you like.
Which background should I use?
White and light grey give a clean, neutral look. Light blue is common for ID-style photos. A blur keeps the feel of the original place while hiding what is behind you. Your own image can be a place, a texture or a brand colour.
ID and passport photos
You can put a person on a plain white or light blue background, which many ID photos use. Alphelo does not crop to official sizes and does not check any official rules, so check the requirements where you will use the photo.
Questions
Which backgrounds can I choose?
Transparent, white, light blue, light grey, black, any colour you like, a blurred version of your photo, or an image of your own. Your background image stays on your device too.
Can I use my own picture as the background?
Yes. Choose "Your image" and pick a picture from your device. It is not uploaded anywhere.
Can I blur the background instead?
Yes. Choose "Blurred photo" to keep a soft version of your original background.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The AI model runs inside your browser, on your own device, so your photo is never sent to a server.
